Russian occupiers have abducted Ihor Kolykhaiev, the Mayor of Kherson.

Ihor Kolykhaiev was known to have remained in Kherson despite the occupation. He said he was doing his duty for his constituents.

On 27 June, the Oblast Administration reported that there had been an increase in abductions of civilians, particularly men, in Kherson Oblast.
Last week, the Russian military released Maksym Vinnyk, vice-principal of Kherson State University, from captivity.
