Number of people injured in Kyiv missile strike rises

One person was killed and six people were injured in a Russian missile strike on Kyiv on the morning of 26 June.

Direct quote from Klychko: "So far the body of one victim has been found. Six people who lived in the building have been injured. Four of them, including a seven-year-old girl, were hospitalised. Two of them have minor injuries and will be treated on an outpatient basis."
Details: The injured girl underwent surgery. According to doctors, her condition is relatively stable and there is no critical threat to her life.
Her mother is in the hospital in a moderate condition. She has no broken bones or penetrating wounds.
According to Halyk, another injured woman in moderate condition is being treated in hospital as an inpatient.
As of 15:00, rescue workers had put out isolated fires in the residential building hit by the missile.
Search and rescue operations continue, and firefighters are clearing away the rubble.
Rescue services had previously reported that one person had been killed and five injured.
Background:
- Around 06:30, Russian invaders fired missiles from strategic bombers onto a residential building and kindergarten in the Shevchenko district of the capital. One rocket was shot down in the sky over the Kyiv region.
Rescuers at the scene pulled a seven-year-old girl out from under the rubble unconscious, followed by her mother, who had been hit by a concrete slab. The girl’s father died.
