In addition, Russian occupying forces conducted an airstrike on Lysychansk. Sievierodonetsk sustained an artillery attack, affecting the nearby villages of Synetskyi and Pavlohrad and the territories around two Sievierodonetsk plants: Azot [chemical plant - ed.] and Skloplastik [fibreglass and plastic plant - ed.]. Russian troops also fired on Vovchoiarivka, Bilohorivka and Loskutivka on 24 June.

In Lysychansk, a civilian who was caught in Russian shelling was found dead.

Doctors in a Dnipro hospital are fighting to save the lives of two children who were injured in Maloriazantseve on 23 June.

Earlier:

  • On 24 June, Haidai reported that Russian occupying forces are using helicopters to target roads and bridges that lead to Lysychansk, destroying them.
  • He also said that Ukrainian troops defending Sievierodonetsk in Luhansk Oblast have been ordered to retreat to better-fortified positions.
  • Yurii Butusov, war reporter from the frontline, said that Ukrainian troops withdrew from the industrial district of Sievierodonetsk on the night of 23-24 June, thus having completed their withdrawal from the city.
