Occupiers conduct population census in Mariupol, take fingerprints

The Russian occupiers are conducting a so-called "population census" in occupied Mariupol, demanding fingerprints.

Quote: "In occupied Mariupol, a so-called "population census" is being conducted. During the procedure, people are required to provide identity documents, as well as to undergo a dactyloscopy (taking fingerprints). Locals are currently forbidden to leave the city."

Details: Film crews of Russian propaganda TV channels are working on the streets of the city, creating material about the "organisation of life" in Mariupol.

According to Ukrainian intelligence, food prices continue to rise under occupation. The price of a one-and-a-half-litre bottle of drinking water is about 100 UAH, a kilogram of pork – 600 UAH.

In addition, the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine reports that the occupiers have so-called "funeral groups" working in the city, offering burial services for 10,000 hryvnia.

Background: 

  •   Mayor Of Mariupol Vadym Boichenko said that the city is in a completely unsanitary condition because garbage has not been taken out for weeks.
  •   Advisor to the mayor Petro Andriushchenko reported that the Russian military was being taken from Mariupol to the front line in Zaporizhzhia Oblast and Donbas.
  •   According to Mariupol City Council, there could be a cholera outbreak because of the large number of corpses, unsanitary conditions and sewage problems in the city.
  •   In addition, according to Boichenko, people in Mariupol are on the verge of death from dehydration because of the lack of drinking water. Advisor Andriushchenko says that people are collecting water from puddles in the open air.
