Belarus has begun "mobilisation exercises" on the border with Ukraine

The Ministry of Defence of Belarus has announced "mobilisation exercises" from 22 June to 1 July in Gomel Oblast, which borders Ukraine.

Quote: "Last year, a similar annual exercise was held with the military commissariats of Mogilev Oblast. The purpose is to check the readiness of military commissariats to carry out their assigned tasks."

Details: The Belarusian military will recruit the conscript reserve for the training. Commissariats want to "practice" the issue of notification and sending citizens to military units.

It is planned to involve special operations forces of the Armed Forces of Belarus in the exercises. This is done in order to create an environment close to reality.

Background: On 16 June, Armed Forces of Belarus continued their military exercises until at least 25 June.
