Details: David Stovba, a store manager for mobile operator Na Svyazi, has announced that destroyed mobile phone towers should be fully restored in Kherson Oblast by the end of July.
At the moment, the region’s communication coverage is 20 percent, he said.
Background:
Communications in the Kherson region have been down for almost a month. Since 30 May, Ukrainian mobile operators and providers of internet and telephone services began to report the first blackouts, followed by a complete suspension of communication in Kherson Oblast.
The State Service of Ukraine for Special Communications stated that it would not be possible to restore communication in the oblast in the near future because the equipment in question was under the full control of the occupation regime and the Russian military.
