Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that the front stretches more than 2,500 kilometres, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces are still maintaining the strategic initiative.

Background: On 24 February, after eight years of waging a hybrid war, Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. It has managed to seize most of Kherson and Luhansk oblasts, a large part of Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk oblasts and part of Kharkiv oblast.
Ukraine is on the defensive and in some places mounting a counter-offensive.
