Blasts heard in Kherson

Blasts were heard in the temporarily Russian-occupied city of Kherson in southern Ukraine on the morning of 21 June.

Details: Local TV and radio reporters said that explosions could be heard in the city of Kherson.

Earlier, air-raid sirens were sounded in Kharkiv, Poltava, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, and Cherkasy oblasts.

Background: Kiril Stemousov, a Russian collaborator, said earlier that he hopes Kherson Oblast will be illegally annexed to the Russian Federation by the end of 2022.
