Energoatom: it is impossible to shut down seized Zaporizhzhia NPP

Energoatom representatives state that currently there is only one scenario for the occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP), namely a stable and reliable operation in Ukraine's energy system.

"Its shutdown is impossible from technical, security, economic and political perspectives," the statement said.
Energoatom representatives have added that the Zaporizhzhia NPP has operated, is operating and will continue to consistently operate in the Ukrainian energy system. "We have every reason to say this with confidence," Energoatom representatives have summed up.
Background:
Earlier, Adviser to the Prime Minister, Yurii Boiko has said that Ukraine does not rule out a scenario in which Zaporizhzhia NPP will be completely shut down in the face of the slightest threat of losing control over the plant, which is currently seized by Russian invaders.
