Russian troops attempt to capture Bohorodychne but are repelled by Ukrainian Armed Forces – General Staff report

On the Sloviansk front, Russian forces have attempted to establish full control over the village of Bohorodychne (Donetsk Oblast) but were repelled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Details: Russian occupying forces have focused their efforts on mounting an offensive on Sloviansk. They conducted reconnaissance-in-force operations near Krasnopillia, where fighting continues. In an attempt to create favourable conditions to resume the offensive on Sloviansk, Russian forces are conducting artillery bombardments in the areas around Dolyna, Krasnopillia, Dibrivne, and Virnopillia.

On the Volyn and Polissia fronts, the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus have focused their main efforts on conducting reconnaissance, patrolling the Belarusian-Ukrainian border, and performing combat engineering tasks to reinforce their positions. There is an ongoing threat of missile and airstrikes on Ukraine from the territory of Belarus.

On the Sivershchyna front, Russia continues conducting demonstrative operations. Russian troops opened artillery fire on units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces in areas of Sumy and Chernihiv oblasts near the Ukrainian-Russian border.

On the Kharkiv front, Russia’s efforts are focused on maintaining its current positions and preventing the Ukrainian Defence Forces from advancing to the state border of Ukraine in the north and from rejoining the units of Ukrainian troops on the Sloviansk front. Russian troops attempted to conduct reconnaissance-in-force near Kochubiivka, but were forced to retreat when faced with the fire that the Ukrainian troops opened in response.

Russian occupying forces did not undertake active combat operations on the Lyman front.

On the Sievierodonetsk front, Russian forces continue to fire regular and rocket artillery on units of Ukrainian troops. They have conducted an airstrike on Ustynivka. Fighting to establish full control over Sievierodonetsk continues. Russia is deploying additional MLRS units to this front.

On the Bakhmut front, Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled an assault on Zolote, forcing the Russian troops to retreat. Russian occupying forces attempted to advance on Vasylivka and Verestove, but, faced with Ukrainian fire, were forced to retreat.

On the Avdiivka, Kurakhove, Novopavlivka, and Zaporizhzhia fronts, there was no evidence of active offensive operations. Russian aircraft conducted airstrikes near New-York, Avdiivka, and Pobieda.

On the Pivdennyi Buh front, Russian forces used artillery and MLRS in and around Kulbakino, Mykolaivka, Stepova Dolyna, Murakhivka, Novopavlivske, Shevchenkove, Zoria, Partyzanske, Kvitneve, Novohryhorivka, Kyselivka, Kniazivka, Osokorivka, Lupareve, and Posad-Pokrovske. Ukrainian aircraft conducted airstrikes on groupings of Russian forces in the Kherson, Kakhovka, and Beryslav districts of Kherson Oblast.

Russia continues to block all civilian shipping in the northwestern part of the Black Sea. Two Calibre cruise missiles carriers are located in the Black Sea waters.
