In Russia, there is a shortage of commercial drones: prices for commercial drones have increased by more than 30% in recent months, and in some categories prices have more than tripled.
This has been reported by "Kommersant" with reference to market participants.
The shortage is due to the suspension of sales of Chinese DJI drones in Russia, as well as private procurement for the terrorist organizations "Lugansk People's Republic" and "Donetsk People's Republic".
It is noted that the Chinese DJI, which decided to stop supplies to Russia, held 90% of the market for "consumer" drones.
"Judging by the market, demand has grown and everything there is has been bought," - say market sources.
In March, the average dollar price of UAVs increased by 47% by March 2021, added a source at one of the retailers.
After DJI stopped shipments, prices for enterprise-segment drones (for the oil and gas and energy industries, search and rescue operations, etc.) in Russia have tripled - both compared to the old price and, for example, the cost in the UAE, taking into account the exchange rate differences.
