Quote from Haidai: "All bridges were destroyed, but Sievierodonetsk is not blocked. There is communication with the city.
The Ruscists have not completely captured Sievierodonetsk; a part of the city is under Ukrainian control.
All bridges leading to the regional centre were destroyed.
Evacuation and delivery of humanitarian aid is not possible. The locals of Sievierodonetsk who’ve remained in the city are surviving in extremely difficult conditions."
Details: Haidai assured that Ukrainian defenders have the opportunity to send the wounded to medical facilities.
At the same time, evacuation from the city is impossible.
In addition, the Russians continue to fire heavily on Lysychansk. There is an evacuation from this city, and trucks with humanitarian aid come there daily.
According to the head of the Luhansk Oblast Military Administration, even in case of the rapid expulsion of the occupiers from Sievierodonetsk, the city's communications will not be restored until the winter.
Background:
- On 12 June, Haidai said that Russian occupying forces had already destroyed two of the three bridges leading to Sievierodonetsk in Luhansk Oblast.
- On 8 June, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Sievierodonetsk was currently the epicentre of the confrontation in Donbas. According to him, the fate of Donbas is being decided there now.
