Russia adds 2 large landing ships to its Black Sea fleet

Russia has added two large landing ships to reinforce its presence in the Black Sea near the Ukrainian coast.

Quote: "Two large landing ships have been added to the aggressor’s fleet in the Black Sea. 

There is now a threat from 40 cruise missiles and four large landing ships ready  for action."

Background:

  • On 6 June, it was reported that two Russian missile ships and a submarine equipped with 20 Calibre cruise missiles in the Black Sea were ready to attack.
  • On 4 June, a flotilla of five large landing ships gathered from the Russian Navy's three fleets departed for the Black Sea.
