Quote from Andriushchenko: "Mariupol. Azovstal. Today, 9 May 2022. The 75th day of resistance. Unbreakable and Unconquered. They [the Russian troops] want to take Mariupol, but they’ll get s**t.
We bow to the ground before all of Mariupol’s Defenders. Your heroism is unparalleled. We owe you a debt that we will never be able to repay."
Details: Relentless explosions can be heard in the video Andriushchenko shared.
The Ukrainian defenders who remain at Azovstal have no air defence equipment, and no artillery or tanks. Russian aircraft is essentially covering the territory of Azovstal with fire and dropping powerful bombs on it.
Mariupol’s defenders describe their defence as "impossible feats done under impossible circumstances" and say they are fighting against tanks with their bare hands.
