Russia launches missiles on Odesa during visit by Ukrainian and European officials

Russian troops launched missiles on Odesa on the morning of 9 May, during the visit of Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and President of the European Council Charles Michel.

Details: Maksym Marchenko, Head of Odesa Regional Military Administration, said that the strike on Odesa Region was launched from Crimea.
"In the morning, the enemy deployed a Bastion coastal system [the K-300P Bastion-P is a Russian mobile coastal defence missile system]and carried out a missile strike from the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea. Infrastructure facilities in one of the region’s districts were damaged," Marchenko said.
It is worth noting that information about Ukrainian government and foreign officials’ visits is often shared post-factum and with delays, due to security concerns.
Earlier: On the morning of 9 May, the Russian army carried out a missile strike on Odesa Region.
Also on 9 May, President of the European Council Charles Michel arrived to Odesa to commemorate Europe Day.
