Eleven people stuck in the basement of a private house in Shypylove in the Luhansk region can only be rescued after Russian troops have been cleared out of nearby Bilohorivka, said the Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration (OVA) Serhii Haidai.

Gaidai's Quote: "Our troops are clearing Bilohorivka, where the occupiers crossed over the river using a pontoon bridge.
As soon as they remove all the ‘extra’ ones, the rescuers will be able to start clearing the rubble in the school and the neighbouring village of Shypylove, where 11 residents are trapped in the basement of a private house; we hope they can wait it out."
Details: According to Haidai, the defenders are holding the line on new fortified positions near Popasna; there have been no breakthroughs. Voevodovka near Severodonetsk is under the control of Ukraine; the Armed Forces of Ukraine have consolidated their positions.
Evacuation from the region will resume after Russian forces have been cleared out of Bilohorivka.
Reminder: In the Luhansk region on the morning of 9 May, contact was lost with 11 people who were hiding in the basement in Shypylove and on whom the Russians opened fire.
