Quote: "Zmiinyi (Snake) Island. The point of no return for Ruscists" - from the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Near the Ukrainian island of Zmiinyi, a Russian Navy 11770 Serna-type landing craft and two Tor anti-aircraft missile systems were hit by a Bayraktar TB2 drone of the national strike fleet.
For reference. The 11770 Serna landing craft is a series of Russian high-speed air cavity landing craft. These boats are designed to land on an unequipped shore or to withdraw from it combat-tracked, wheeled and other military equipment weighing up to 45 tonnes, as well as advanced landing units with weapons (92 people), at a speed of 30 knots.
Previously: On 7 May, Pivden [South] Operational Command shared a video of an object being destroyed near the coast of what was said to be Zmiinyi Island. Serhii Bratchuk, a spokesman for the Odesa Regional Military Administration, noted on Telegram that it was a Serna-type landing boat.
Ukrainska Pravda has tried to confirm this information and find out exactly when the occupiers' boat was destroyed. However, Pivden [South] Operational Command reported that they were not disclosing the details yet.
The press centre of the security and defence forces of southern Ukraine could not answer Ukrainska Pravda’s question either.
