In the occupied Kherson region, the invaders are keeping about 500 people - activists and members of the anti-terrorist operation - in basements.
Source: Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine to the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Tamila Tasheva, quoted by Ukrinform
Quote: "According to our information, about 500 people are actually ‘in basements’, where they are being tortured."
Details: According to Tasheva, both in Kherson and on the administrative border with Crimea, for example, in the village of Novooleksiivka and the city of Henichesk, occupying leaders or the Russian military have lists of the activists who, in particular, participated in the civil blockade of Crimea in 2015, or served in the anti-terrorist operation.
[The occupying forces] go to these people’s homes, and they are taken away or abducted.
The President’s permanent representative in Crimea said these are the same scenarios as were seen in Crimea in 2014: first the Russian military would come, then the information field and the field of activists and journalists would be "cleared", then the so-called referendum was held.
