Kherson Region: 6-year-old girl injured by shelling in Vysokopillia

A 6-year-old girl has been seriously injured as a result of artillery shelling by Russian forces in the village of Vysokopillia, Beryslav district, Kherson Region on 2 May, where two shells also struck a residential building.

Details: In just 69 days of Russia's war against Ukraine, more than 627 children have been injured. According to official figures, 220 children have been killed, and 407 injured. These figures are inconclusive and incomplete as information from the temporarily occupied territories and combat zones is not available.

According to data verified by the morning of 4 May, the most affected regions are: Donetsk Region – 139; Kyiv Region – 115: Kharkiv Region – 95; Chernihiv Region – 68; Kherson Region – 46; Mykolayiv Region – 43; Luhansk Region – 37; Zaporizhzhia Region – 27; Sumy Region – 17; the city of Kyiv - 16 and in Zhytomyr Region - 15.

1584 educational institutions have been damaged due to daily bombardment and shelling by the armed forces of the Russian Federation. Of these, 118 have been completely destroyed.
