It is likely that, for the foreseeable future, it will not be possible to restore the Ukrainian mobile, landline and internet networks disconnected by the occupiers in the Kherson Oblast.

Quote: "Unfortunately, communications in the region will most likely not be restored in the near future, as the relevant equipment is under the full control of the occupation regime and the Russian military."

Details: The service stated that on 30 May, Ukrainian mobile, landline and internet service providers first noted service disruptions, which was followed by a complete disconnection of telecommunications in Kherson Oblast.

Quote: "According to the information received from the companies, the representatives of the occupation regime interfered with the operation of the equipment by disconnecting cables, cutting off power supply to the equipment, etc.

Currently, residents of the oblast are left without Ukrainian mobile connection and internet access, and are not able to make domestic and international calls using landlines."

More details: The State Service of Special Communications Service has not ruled out the attempts to connect Ukrainian users to Russian internet networks and mobile operators, which are fully controlled by hostile intelligence services.

In this case, Ukraine will appeal to international organisations to stop the illegal actions of the occupiers.

The State Special Communications Service advises Ukrainians to use maximum security measures when using telephone and internet connections in Russian networks, including using a VPN when entering the network.

Reminder: In Kherson Oblast and in the city of Kherson, connection has been lost; Ukrainian mobile operators and, in part, home internet connections are not operational.

Earlier, the occupiers said that they had transferred Kherson and Zaporizhzhia Oblasts to Russia’s telephone country code +7.
