Russia prepares mop-up operation around Sievierodonetsk

On the morning of 31 May it has become known that Russian invaders are planning to conduct a mop-up operation around Sievierodonetsk in Luhansk Oblast.

Details: According to Haidai, the situation in the area is extremely difficult. Part of Sievierodonetsk is controlled by Russian troops.

However, the occupiers cannot freely move through the city because of the Ukrainian troops who remain there.

Quote from Haidai: "Russians are planning a mop-up operation around Sievierodonetsk. They have deployed a battalion’s worth of soldiers there, who will comb through the villages on the outskirts of Sievierodonetsk - they’re gathering their equipment."
