Lukashenko officials have planned "mobilisation exercises" near Ukrainian border

From 22 June to 1 July, scheduled mobilisation exercises with military commissariats will take place in the Gomel region of Belarus, which borders Ukraine.

Quote from Krivonosov: "During the exercise, traffic will be restricted to certain areas adjacent to the Armed Forces. In addition, fire training activities are planned at shooting ranges located in the Gomel region"
Details: The publication notes that the exercises are being held to "increase the level of combat and mobilisation readiness of military commissariats, improve military knowledge and practical skills of conscripts." Military trainings involve the districts of the region.
In addition, in Zhlobin district of the same region from 28 June to 16 July military meetings are planned with conscripts assigned to the territorial troops.
According to Krivonosov, during this period the issues of "organisation of protection and defence of territorial defence facilities, implementation of martial law, as well as the fight against sabotage and reconnaissance groups" will be worked out.
The publication notes that territorial defence has been practised in the regions since 2002, and military trainings are held "as planned annually" under the auspices of local authorities.
Reminder:
- On 26 May, Alexander Lukashenko, the self-proclaimed President of Belarus, announced that a new operational command, the Southern, was being set up in the Belarusian armed forces, and Lukashenko spoke of a possible war in the country.
- On 27 May, Lukashenko gave orders to create a "people's militia" in the country.
- It was also reported that Belarusian rescuers are being trained to act in "special conditions" and will receive weapons in the coming weeks.
- The regime of Russian President Vladimir Putin is using the territory of Belarus as a platform for missile strikes on peaceful Ukrainian cities and the deployment of its military units. In addition, Belarus is supplying weapons to Russia.
