Russia gathers troops and equipment near Ukrainian border

Russia has deployed troops, artillery, and rocket launchers in Kursk Oblast (Russia), near the Ukrainian border.

Details: According to Starovoyt, "A significant number of Ministry of Defence military personnel and additional weapons, including artillery and rocket launchers, have already arrived and continue arriving in the region."
Quote from Starovoyt: "This is intended to ensure that the residents of Kursk Oblast can continue their peaceful and creative existence, and to protect their safety and health."
Earlier: On 19 May, the administration of Kursk Oblast claimed that the oblast was shelled by border forces from the Ukrainian side; no casualties were reported.
