More than 150 Mariupol residents have arrived in Zaporizhzhia from Azovstal

The 156 civilians evacuated from the Azovstal plant in Mariupol on 1 May have arrived in Zaporizhzhia.

According to Lubrani: "I'm relieved to confirm that the safe passage operation from Mariupol has been successful.

I'm thinking about the people who remain trapped. We will do all we can to assist them."

Details: Lubrani said she rode in buses with Mariupol residents who were successfully rescued from Mariupol on 1 May. People told her details of their stay in Azovstal's bunkers, which Lubrani compared to "hell".

Five evacuation buses brought 156 people to Zaporizhzhia.
