Number of children killed by Russians reaches 220 after 2 May strike in Odesa

As of 3 May, more than 626 children have been affected in Ukraine as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation: according to official and incomplete data, 220 children have been killed and more than 406 injured.

Details: On 2 May, a 14-year-old boy was killed and a 17-year-old girl was injured as a result of missile strikes by the Russian army in Odesa.

During the 68 days of the war, the greatest number of children affected have been in the Donetsk region where 139 have suffered, with 115 in the Kyiv region, 95 in the Kharkiv region, 68 in the Chernihiv region, 45 in the Kherson region, 43 in the Mykolayiv region, 37 in the Luhansk region, 27 in the Zaporizhzhia region, 17 in the Sumy region, 16 in the city of Kyiv and 15 in the Zhytomyr region.

These figures are not final, as work is under way to establish numbers in places of active combat operations, and in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories.

The Russian armed forces have damaged 1,584 educational establishments as a result of daily bombardment and shelling. Of these, 118 have been completely destroyed.
