Russian troops in the occupied Vasylivka periodically block the movement of cars trying to reach Ukrainian-controlled territory.
Source: Oleksander Starukh, Chairman of the Zaporizhia regional military administration, 24/7 national joint newscast – Local Edition "061"
Starukh’s quote: "They periodically close the exit through the only corridor, which is on the Kharkiv-Simferopol highway, through the occupied Vasylivka. This happens frequently. Large convoys of 300-400 vehicles are stopped for 4-5 days. People stand and wait in terrible conditions. The occupiers sometimes demand money for travel, making it difficult to leave the occupied territories."
Details: The head of the military administration said that every week up to 1,000 evacuating Mariupol residents arrive in Zaporizhia.
Starukh said that Russians continue to kidnap people in the occupied areas of Zaporizhia Oblast – primarily businessmen.
Mobile communication through Ukrainian operators is still available in the occupied territory, but the Russian Federation is gradually taking measures to introduce Russian mobile operators and cease Ukrainian operations.
