Lviv Territorial Defence Forces conduct training for volunteer fighters

Volunteer units of the Lviv region are to be trained to use heavy weapons to defend territory.

Details: It has been announced that the training will be held from 27 to 31 May for hundreds of members of volunteer units from the hromadas [amalgamated territorial communities] of Lviv Oblast.

The participants in the training will be introduced to procedures for the transportation, deployment and the use of heavy weapons. In particular, [they will learn to use] portable missile systems, grenade launchers and mortars.

According to Kozytskyi, 83 paramilitary units from the territorial hromadas were formed in Lviv Oblast, including in the city of Lviv. They are made up of thousands of citizens.

The Lviv Oblast Military Administration plans to expand the number of measures to train volunteer units of the hromadas in the summer.
