Ukrainian forces have pushed the Russians back to their previous positions during the fighting for Sievierodonetsk.
Source: Serhiy Haidai, head of the Oblast Military Administration, on Telegram.
Quote from Haidai: "The Russians have been pushed back to their previous positions; another bridge between Sievierodonetsk and Lysychansk has been damaged. But passage between the cities is maintained.
The Russians have suffered significant losses and have been forced to retreat near Sievierodonetsk, Toshkivka and Oskolonivka. However, they are not abandoning attempts to reach the rear of our troops and disrupt logistical support in the Luhansk region.
Details: According to the head of the Oblast Military Administration, Sievierodonetsk has been subjected to at least three heavy rounds of shelling. Street battles have broken out in places.
Quote from Haidai: "As a consequence, 14 multi-storey buildings have been damaged. There has also been serious shelling of the nearby village of Synetskyi, which locals often refer to as a khutir (hamlet - ed.).
There has also been damage in other towns in the Luhansk region: nine houses in Hornoe, four in both Zolote and Lysychansk. And also 12 in the village of Vrubivka and two in the village of Orikhove".
More details: Haidai reported that a total of eight attacks by the invaders had been repelled in the past 24 hours, with five tanks, ten armoured vehicles and four vehicles destroyed. Air defence units also destroyed an Orlan 10 UAV.
