Yermak pushes partners on multiple launch rocket systems: Ukraine is paying with people's lives

ROMAN PETRENKO– FRIDAY, 27 MAY 2022, 13:48

Andrii Yermak, the head of the President's Office, has reminded the West that Ukraine is in need of modern multiple launch rocket systems (MLRSs), and that Ukrainians are dying and our cities are being destroyed because of delays in weapon supplies.

Quote from Yermak: "The discussion in the United States on MLRSs for Ukraine is still going on. According to CNN, the allies may give us advanced missile systems if they make a decision next week. We regularly explain to our partners how urgent this is.

Yes, we are grateful for the artillery and other help, but what will help us to stop the Russian invasion and gain a tangible advantage at the front is modern MLRSs.

We needed the weapons earlier, as well as air defence systems, tanks and other weapons that we are asking for in order to stop the Russian offensive and liberate the temporarily occupied territories.

The threat of World War III exists, but it can be prevented if we defeat Russia militarily on our territory, increasing the pressure on the aggressor's economy.

Decisions need to be taken faster so as not to waste time, which Ukraine is paying for with people's lives and destroyed cities."

Details: Yermak says that the food crisis could be resolved by liberating the occupied territories and unblocking the ports.

Reminder: Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces, reminded partners that the delivery of weapons should not be delayed, as this time is being measured in the lives of people who are saving the world from the Russian occupiers.

The President's Office emphasises that Ukraine needs American multiple rocket launcher systems, including to unblock the Black Sea.
