Russians attempt to break through in Luhansk region: 5 killed, extensive damage

On 26 May, the Russian invaders tried to enter Sievierodonetsk and shelled residential areas continuously, killing 4 people and damaging many houses. They also killed one person in an urban-type settlement in Komyshuvakha.

Quote from Haidai: "Throughout the day, the Russians tried to push their way into Sievierodonetsk from Purdivka and Shchedryshcheve, attacking the positions of our military around Ustynivka.
Residents of Sievierodonetsk now cannot remember when there was last at least half an hours’s silence in the city. The Russians are firing at residential areas continuously. On 26 May, four Sievierodonetsk residents were killed by Russian occupying forces' shells. All this in the old districts of the city."
Details: Haidai noted that two people had been killed simultaneously near one high-rise building.
Also on 26 May, Russian occupying forces damaged 11 apartment buildings and one private house in Sievierodonetsk.
In Lysychansk, after a powerful artillery attack on 25 May, 19 objects were destroyed. On 26 May, the Russians opened fire on a police station. No one was injured.
Another person was killed on 26 May by a Russian shell in Komyshuvakha. Reports also came in of the deaths of two women in Hirske over the past week.
Haidai added that there has been a lot of damage to housing in the Popasnianska and Hirska Amalgamated Territorial Communities. On 26 May alone, the invaders damaged 11 houses in Zolote, 9 in Hirske, 8 in Toshkivka, 4 in Nyrkove, and 3 in Mykolaivka.
Over the past day, the defenders repulsed 12 enemy attacks, destroying a tank, 5 artillery systems, 5 units of armoured combat vehicles and 5 cars. Air defence units shot down a Russian Ka-52 helicopter, a cruise missile and an Orlan-10 UAV.
