According to the Pivden [South] Operational Command, the threat of missile strikes on the region from the sea remains, but any attempts at a landing operation are unlikely due to bad weather.

Details: As of 26 May, the enemy naval grouping in the Black Sea of 6 airborne corps and 2 missile ships does not come with any changes in strength or objectives.
Threats of missile strikes, particularly from the sea, remain relevant. The deteriorating weather makes it impossible to land marines and increases the risk of landmines being dumped along the coast.
Fighting continues on the front line. The invaders, trying to gain a foothold in the occupied Kherson region, have begun building a third line of defence.
Quote: "Looking for the slightest opportunity to advance towards Mykolaiv, the enemy tried to bypass our positions with the help of reinforced platoon forces, with the support of 2 tanks and 3 combat infantry vehicles. With the help of 4 Mi-8 helicopters and artillery support, the Ukrainian defenders inflicted losses on the enemy, killing 7 Ruscists and destroying 1 infantry fighting vehicle. Having received a powerful rebuff, the enemy retreated to its defensive lines.
Continuing with artillery and mortar shelling, the Ruscists have destroyed settlements and targeted civilians. In the Kutsurubska hromada [community] in the Mykolaiv region, 4 social and administrative structures have been damaged. One person was injured. One person died in the village of Pervomaiske. In the village of Kotliareve in Shevchenkivska hromada [community], a shop and a house with outbuildings were damaged. Shyrokivska community was shelled again. Houses were damaged and destroyed. There are no casualties. There is 1 dead and 1 wounded in the Bereznehuvatska community after daytime and nighttime shelling.
During the night, our missile and artillery units, in cooperation with aircraft and the Navy, performed more than 50 artillery attacks. Enemy losses are being clarified."
Details: The aggressors continue with the information war and spread fake news about the installation of "Nazi militants" in the Odesa region in the most sensitive places: in schools and hospitals.
"It is a well-known practice of Ruscists following the example of Mariupol – they justify themselves in advance of hitting such socially important and absolutely non-military objects.
Be careful and vigilant to any change in the situation, do not succumb to panic and provocation, do not ignore air-raid sirens and your own safety – the coast and coastal waters are currently explosive. Do not help the enemy by disclosing the measures taken by our defenсe forces, or the movement or location of their equipment and units," advised the Pivden [South] Operational Command.
