Kherson region: 90% of pharmacies closed, drug prices increased fivefold

About 90% of pharmacies in the temporarily occupied Kherson region are closed, and prices for most drugs have increased three- to fivefold.

Details: Pharmacies still have some very expensive highly specialised drugs, vitamins, herbs and teas, toothpastes and some cosmetics.
It should be noted that drugs are currently being brought in from occupied Crimea and from Russia and sold from the trunks of cars in local markets; they are not certified and could be counterfeit.
There is a huge problem with heart and blood pressure medications.
Pregnant women face a specific problem with the purchase of medications and pharmaceuticals in the maternity hospital. At present, it is often impossible to find the right medications and other items that were usually widely available and necessary for and immediately after childbirth.
There is also information about significant problems with children's medicines, the most acute situation being with antipyretics.
