Sergei Shoigu, the Russian Minister of Defence, has tried to explain the failures of the Russian army in Ukraine by saying that allegedly this had been planned. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy considers such excuses inadequate.

Details: On 24 May, Sergei Shoigu said that Russia was allegedly deliberately slowing down the pace of the offensive in Ukraine in order to "avoid civilian casualties and allow people to evacuate."

Quote from Zelenskyy: "Another completely inadequate statement was made by Russia that they were allegedly ‘slowing down’ the offensive on purpose.

Well, after three months of searching for an explanation as to why they failed to break Ukraine in three days, they came up with nothing better than to claim that they had allegedly planned to do so.

Almost 30,000 Russian soldiers have been killed. Over 200 aircraft have been downed. Thousands of Russian tanks lost, armoured vehicles and other equipment [destroyed]. Russian missile ammunition is almost completely used up.

And they want to cover it up with the lie that they are not fighting at full strength? It’s pathetic."
