In an attempt to cut off the Luhansk region from the Lysychansk-Bakhmut road, the Russians damaged a large-diameter gas pipeline, and gas supply to the Donetsk region is thus in question.

Source: Serhiy Haidai, the Head of the Luhansk Oblast Military Administration

Quote: "On the border of Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts, the Russians, trying to advance and capture the road, hit the main, 1200 mm-diameter gas pipeline. The pressure in the pipe dropped immediately from 15 to 5 atm, jeopardising the supply of gas to the neighbouring area.

It is currently extremely difficult to reach the depressurized area due to active hostilities."

Details: According to Haidai, 36,000 consumers [of gas] from three settlements in the Luhansk region are still being supplied with some blue fuel due to the residual pressure in the pipes.
