Units of Russian troops are creating checkpoints and fortifications on approach to and in the town of Velykyi Burluk, the villages of Kapytolivka, Mykhailivka, Levkivka, and Zabavne, and the city of Kupiansk in order to consolidate their administrative and military control of these towns and villages.

Units of the Western, Eastern, and Central Military Districts and the 11th Army Corps of the Baltic Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation are preparing to resume an offensive on the Sloviansk front.

Russian troops attempted to advance on the village of Dovhenke, but the Ukrainian defence forces repelled their attacks; Russian troops suffered losses and retreated.

On the Donetsk front, Russia continues its attempts to break through the Ukrainian defence and advance to the administrative border of Luhansk Oblast.

On the Lyman front, the Russian occupation forces shelled infrastructure in and near Lyman, Ozerne, and Dibrova.

On the Sievierodonetsk front, the efforts of the Russian army are focused on capturing the city of Sievierodonetsk, though Russian troops also conducted an assault operation near Toshkivka.

On the Bakhmut front, Russian troops conducted artillery-supported hostilities near the village of Oleksandropillia, but were forced to retreat after suffering losses from the Ukrainian defence forces. Russian troops also unsuccessfully attempted to advance on Lypove and Trypillia.

Hostilities on the Avdiivka, Kurakhove, Novopavlivske, and Zaporizhzhia fronts began to de-escalate. Russian forces are focused on maintaining their current positions and are shelling the positions of the Ukrainian defence forces.

Russia conducted air strikes on civilian infrastructure in and around Avdiivka, Novoselivka Druha, Novomykhailivka, and Mykilske.

Russian troops undertook no active combat operations on other fronts.

Due to losses incurred in hostilities, Russia was forced to deploy T-62 tanks that were earmarked for reserve battalion tactical groups currently being formed and preparing for deployment in Ukraine.

Moreover, Russia is now deploying military equipment that had earlier been damaged during hostilities in Ukraine and has now been repaired, in order to replenish ammunition and equipment lost in battles in Ukraine.

Background: The Armed Forces of Ukraine repulsed 11 Russian attacks on the Donetsk and Luhansk fronts over the past 24 hours, and destroyed 6 Russian tanks, 10 armoured combat vehicles, and 6 motor vehicles. The Ukrainian Air Defence Forces shot down an Orlan-10 UAV and a Su-25 plane on these fronts.
