Details: Also People's Deputies approved a presidential decree on the extension of the general mobilisation until 23 August with 315 votes.

- On 18 May the Verkhovna Rada registered presidential bill #7389 on approval of the presidential decree "On the extension of martial law in Ukraine". President Volodymyr Zelensky proposed to extend the martial law in Ukraine.
- In another bill #7390, the President has proposed to extend the term of general mobilisation from 25 May for another 90 days.
- The president's representative in the Constitutional Court, Fedir Venislavsky, explained that martial law will be extended immediately for three months, as a counteroffensive takes more time than defence. The Rada may also lift martial law at any time.
