General Staff: Russia deploys Iskander ballistic missile systems in its Belgorod region

Russian troops have deployed several Iskander-M mobile short range ballistic missile systems in the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation, which shares a border with Ukraine.

Details: Russia is also reinforcing its logistics and supply systems and repair bases in the Belgorod region.
On the Volyn and Polissia fronts, the Belarusian Armed Forces intensified their reconnaissance activities, deploying additional signals and electronic intelligence equipment across the Gomel region of Belarus. There is still a threat of missile and air strikes on Ukraine from the territory of Belarus.
On the Siversk front, Russian troops are shelling towns, villages, and infrastructure facilities in Chernihiv and Sumy Oblasts. They opened fire on the towns and villages of Boiaro-Lezhachi, Ulytsia, Buniakine, Hirky, Hremiach, and Muravyi.
On the Slobozhansk front, units of the 6th Combined Arms Army of the Western Military District and of the Baltic Fleet of the Russian Federation are fighting to hold their positions on the Kharkiv front and to hinder the advance of the Ukrainian army to Ukraine’s administrative border.
Russian troops are preparing for an offensive operation on the Sloviansk front; they have deployed artillery to shell the village of Virnopillia, Dibrivne, and Dovhenke.
On the Donetsk front, Russian occupation forces are trying to break through the defence of Ukrainian troops and advance to the administrative border of Luhansk Oblast. They conducted air strikes on civilian infrastructure in and around Vrubivka and Bakhmut.
There were no active combat operations on the Lyman front. Russian troops attacked infrastructure in and around Lyman, Ozerne, Zakitne, Dibrova, and Serebrianka.
On the Sievierodonetsk front, Russian troops deployed artillery and mortars to fire on the positions of Ukrainian troops along the entire front line, focusing their efforts in particular on the areas around Sievierodonetsk and Lysychansk. They conducted offensive and assault operations near Oskolonivka, Purdivka, Shchedryshcheve, and Smolianinove. The Ukrainian Armed Forces repulsed the Russian attacks: Russian troops suffered losses and had to retreat to their earlier positions.
On the Bakhmut front, Russian troops deployed artillery in an attempt to improve their tactical positions in and around Trypillia, Lypove, and Vasylivka; fighting continues.
On the Avdiivka front, Russian forces suffered losses near Krasnohorivka.
On the Kurakhove front, Russia conducted an assault operation in Mariinka, but was not successful. Russian troops shelled Novomykhailivka and Volodymyrivka and carried out air strikes on Mykilske and Katerynovka.
On the Novopavlivske and Zaporizhzhia fronts, Russian troops were focused on maintaining their current positions; they shelled both the positions of Ukrainian troops and the region’s civilian infrastructure.
On the Pivdennyi Buh front, there were no active combat operations. Russia’s main efforts are focused on maintaining and fitting out its current positions, conducting reconnaissance, and reinforcing its air defence. Russian troops shelled the positions of Ukrainian troops from mortars and artillery.
No changes on the Besarabia front.
On the Donetsk and Luhansk fronts within the past 24 hours, Ukrainian troops repulsed 9 Russian attacks and destroyed 5 tanks, 4 artillery systems, 10 armoured combat vehicles, and 2 motor vehicles. Ukrainian Air Defence units destroyed 1 Orlan-10 UAV.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces shot down 2 cruise missiles, and its strike aircraft destroyed 12 pieces of Russian military equipment.
