For the second time in a week, a tractor hits a mine in Kyiv Oblast

In the Bucha District, a tractor driver ran over a Russian mine while performing field work, injuring himself.

Quote: "On 21 May at 14:00 the operative-dispatching service of Bucha District received a report of an explosion in a field in the village of Lypivka, Makariv Amalgamated Territorial Community (hromada).
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine once again reminds civilians that travelling on unexplored fields, forest roads, or other areas can cost you your life!"
Details: The State Emergency Service of Ukraine officers who arrived at the scene freed the injured driver from the vehicle. He was taken away in an ambulance.
The place of the explosion was fenced off and marked as a dangerous area.
Background:
- On Tuesday, 17 May, a 37-year-old tractor driver also ran into a Russian mine and injured his leg in a field near Andriivka near Makariv in Kyiv Oblast. Sappers found another unexploded mine under the wheels of the damaged tractor.
- On 19 May, two men were blown up by a Russian mine in a field in the Bucha District. On the same day, a tractor exploded on a Russian mine in a strip of forest in Chernihiv Oblast.
- On 20 May, the President's Office announced that engineers have completed demining in the liberated territories of Kyiv Oblast.
