General Staff: Russian offensive and assault operations fail on 4 fronts

Russian occupation forces undertook offensive and assault operations on four eastern fronts, and were unsuccessful.

Quote from the General Staff: "The enemy continues to undertake offensive operations in the Skhid [East] Operational Zone. The enemy’s main efforts are focused on the Donetsk front."

Details: On the Volyn and Polissia fronts, the situation has not undergone any significant changes. There is a threat of missile and bomb strikes from the territory of Belarus on Ukraine’s civilian and military infrastructure.

On the Siversk front, units of Russian troops continue to fit out additional firing positions and defence constructions near the border with Ukraine in the Bryansk and Kursk regions of the Russian Federation.

Russian forces fired on villages and towns in Chernihiv and Sumy Oblasts from artillery and mortars, and launched a missile strike on the town of Desna, in Chernihiv Oblast. They continued to conduct aerial reconnaissance using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) on the Siversk front.

On the Kharkiv front, the Russian occupiers’ main efforts focussed on maintaining their current positions and conducting counterattacks to recapture the positions they had lost to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Russia is deploying sabotage and reconnaissance groups on this front.

On the Sloviansk front, Russian troops are attempting to improve their tactical positions. They conducted artillery-supported hostilities near the village of Velyka Komushuvakha, Kharkiv Oblast, but were not successful. In some areas, Russian troops suffered significant losses and had to retreat to their earlier positions.

On the Lyman front, Russian forces shelled Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure, carried out missile attacks, and attempted to maintain their previously held positions. They deployed operational-tactical and army aircraft to inflict damage and destroy civilian infrastructure in the villages of Loskutivka, Katerynivka, Novomykhailivka, and Orikhove.

On the Sievierodonetsk front, Russia conducted assault operations near the village of Ustynivka, but was not successful.

On the Bakhmut front, Russian troops conducted an offensive in order to improve their tactical position and attempted to storm the village of Zolote-4, but were not successful.

On the Avdiivka front, Russian troops conducted offensive operations near the village of Yurivka, suffered losses, and retreated. Their assault operations near the villages of Novokalynove and Pervomaiske were not successful either.

On the Kurakhove front, Russian forces unsuccessfully attempted to advance near the village of Novomykhailivka.

On the Novopavlivske and Zaporizhzhia fronts, the invaders undertook no active combat operations, but continued to deploy artillery, including multiple rocket launchers and mortars, to inflict damage on infrastructure and civilian housing in and around the towns and villages of Huliaipilske, Novodanylivka, Malynivka, and Huliaipole.

According to available information, 260 Russian military personnel previously deployed on the Kharkiv front were transferred to replenish the losses of the 107th Rifle Battalion (which has lost over 50% of its soldiers) near the village of Oleksandrivka.

On the Pivdennyi Buh front, Russian occupation forces did not conduct active combat operations and focused on maintaining their existing positions. They shelled the towns and villages of Lymany, Pryshyb, Trudoliubivka, and Novovorontsovka with artillery, including mortars and multiple rocket launchers.

No changes on the Besarabia front.

The Russian occupation command in Russian-occupied parts of Donetsk Oblast is planning to mobilise university students to take part in combat due to the lack of other mobilisation reserves there.

In the past 24 hours, Ukrainian anti-aircraft missile forces shot down 1 plane and 1 cruise missile. The Ukrainian Air Force targeted a cluster of Russian military equipment, according to preliminary information, destroying around 20 armoured vehicles, ammunition, and killing Russian personnel.

On the Donetsk and Luhansk fronts, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repulsed 16 Russian attacks and destroyed 8 Russian tanks, 17 armoured combat vehicles, 4 special armoured vehicles, and 6 motor vehicles.
