Mass shelling from within Russia continued along the entire border of the Sumy region in the evening of 18 May.

Quote: "The Russian enemies seem to have gone mad. The shelling continued along the entire border of Sumy region:
- 10 explosions were reported in the Hlukhiv area at about 17:30. The enemy fired from within Russia.
- 6 Russian mortar attacks were carried out in the Velykopysariv amalgamated territorial community (hromada) at about 20:00.
- self-propelled guns fired on the Bilopillya region from within Russia at about 22:00."

The aggressors launched volleys of automatic gunfire at Putivl town from within Russia.
The Bilopillya amalgamated territorial community (hromada) came under shelling from Russian territory at around 22:00.
The massive shelling with artillery and small arms lasted for almost half an hour.
The aggressors also fired on the Putivl amalgamated territorial community (hromada) from within Russia using self-propelled guns at about 22:30.
"We have properly responded to these attacks."
"No casualties have been reported. The information is being verified," Dmytro Zhyvytskyi said.
