Roman Starovoyt, the governor of the Kursk Oblast of the Russian Federation, has claimed that "the enemy" had shelled the village Alekseyevka for the third time, as well as the village of Tyotkino.

Details: Earlier on Wednesday (18 May), Starovoyt said that "The village of Alekseyevka in the Glushkov district was hit by mortars again."

He believes that the "enemy" was aiming at the mobile network tower, which had been recently renovated.

The governor said that Russian border guards and the military opened "return fire." There were no casualties or damage.

Background: On 17 May, Roman Starovoyt claimed that the border village of Alekseyevka had been shelled with "large-calibre weapons."

The head of the "A Just Russia - Patriots - For Truth" party in the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Sergey Mironov, called on the Russian military leadership to launch missile strikes on the headquarters and government buildings of Ukraine in retaliation for their shelling of Russian villages on the border with Ukraine.

At the same time, Russian troops continue to shell Ukrainian settlements in Chernihiv and Sumy Oblasts.
