Territorial Defence Chief of Staff: Most territorial defence brigades engaged in combat

In Ukraine, 25 out of 32 territorial defence brigades are engaged in combat action, either with their full complement or in part.

Quote from Sobko: "Fighters from territorial defence units have taken an active part in combat against the enemy since practically the first day of Russia’s full-scale aggression. Today, around 25 out of 32 territorial defence brigades are taking part in combat action either with their full complement or in part."
Details: Sobko noted that territorial defence units played a crucial part in defending and liberating Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Sumy Oblasts, and in the defence of Mariupol.
Earlier: On Monday, 16 May, a territorial defence battalion in Kharkiv Oblast pushed the Russian forces back to the Ukrainian-Russian border.
Background: Territorial defence forces are part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces; they report to and carry out the orders of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Territorial defence force units can be deployed to conduct territorial defence and carry out combat missions throughout Ukraine.
