On the night of May 17 in the Yavoriv district of Lviv Oblast, the aggressors fired on a military facility. Fragments from the missile damaged the railway infrastructure.
Source: Maksym Kozytskyi, the head of the Lviv Oblast State administration and Andrii Sadovyi, the mayor of Lviv
According to Kozytskiy: "During the night, the aggressors fired a missile at the infrastructure facility of the Lviv Railway regional branch in Yavoriv district. The explosion damaged the railway infrastructure.
There is no information about casualties or deaths".
Details: According to previous data, the missiles were launched from the east.
Also, air defence units of Air Command "West" shot down three cruise missiles. Kozytskiy thanked the air defence forces.
Andriy Sadovy also said that there were two air-raid alerts and two "massive waves of rocket flights" in Lviv Oblast that night.
According to Sadovyi: "No rocket landed in Lviv. The air defence forces worked well. So, we don't know if our city was the target this time.
In one village in Yavoriv District, fragments from the missile partially damaged the railway infrastructure. Windows in the surrounding houses were broken. And all this in a zone 20-kilometres from the border with the European Union.
This was really one of the largest attacks on Lviv Oblast in terms of the number of missiles. It is difficult to predict what will happen next. So, go to the shelters!".
Details: Sadovyi once again called on residents not to film "missile flights" or air defence systems in operation. According to him, such videos are needed by "Moscow’s agency", and Ukrainians need to help the front.
Last night, it was reported that the Russians again fired missiles at a military facility in the Yavoriv district, almost on the border with Poland.
