Russia has lost some 27,900 troops, 3,009 armoured combat vehicles, 201 aircraft and 167 helicopters in the 83 days of its invasive war in Ukraine.

Details: Total enemy combat losses from 24 February to 17 May are estimated to be (figures in brackets represent new losses – ed.):

- Tanks - 1,235 (+7)
- Armoured combat vehicles - 3,009 (+35)
- Artillery systems - 578 (+1)
- Multiple rocket launchers - 198 (+3)
- Air defence systems - 90 (+1)
- Aircraft - 201 (+1)
- Helicopters: 167 (+2)
- Operational-tactical level UAVs - 436 (+9)
- Cruise missiles - 97 (+0)
- Ships/boats - 13 (+0)
- Vehicles and tankers - 2,109 (+8)
- Special vehicles - 43 (+ 1)
The highest Russian losses over the past 24 hours were on the Lyman and Zaporizhzhia fronts.
