Ukraine: Prosecutor General says 45 Russians who committed war crimes identified

Ukrainian law enforcement officers have already identified 45 Russians who, according to the investigation, committed atrocities in our country.

Quote: "What about our investigations of war crimes... To date, we have identified 45 such persons for war crimes – this is Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – and three people are already in court. A man we accused of killing a civilian has been taken to court as have two other people (they are physically present in Ukraine). These are people who shelled civilian infrastructure in Kharkiv Oblast.
In other words, we are moving much faster here than the international courts.
But today we have identified 45 people from the Russian Federation who have committed atrocities in Ukraine, but (there are already) 11,600 instances of crimes being investigated.
Our task is to find each one."
Details: Iryna Venediktova explains: to prosecute, we need to find all the witnesses, all evidence of their guilt. At present, this is complicated by the inability to access certain areas.
