Details: Russian troops were not active on the Volyn and Polissia fronts. There is still a threat of missile and air strikes on Ukraine’s infrastructure and other facilities from the territory of the Republic of Belarus. Demonstration and provocative actions by the armed forces of the Republic of Belarus are not ruled out in border areas.

On the Kharkiv front, Russian troops did not conduct active combat operations.

Russian troops shelled units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces on the Sloviansk front in an attempt to break through the Ukrainian line of defence, but were not successful. They continued to replenish personnel, recover losses, and regroup units of their troops in order to resume their offensive on Barvinkove and Sloviansk.

Russian troops are trying to exploit their success on the Bakhmut front. Despite losses, they continue to advance on Lyman, Sievierodonetsk, Avdiivka, and Kurakhove. Russian troops are regrouping on the Lyman and Bakhmut fronts.

In Mariupol, the Ukrainian soldiers defending the Azovstal plant continue to be under siege. The invaders are continuously launching air strikes on the plant and peppering it with artillery fire.

On the Pivdennyi Buh front, Russian troops did not undertake active combat operations, instead continuing to hold their positions. Their main efforts are concentrated on aerial reconnaissance and shelling of the Ukrainian Defence Forces’ positions.

Morale remains low among Russian soldiers as they continue to suffer personnel and equipment losses.

According to available information, due to the significant losses in the 810th Separate Brigade of the Black Sea Fleet Marines in the course of combat operations in Ukraine, it was decided to replenish the brigade with personnel from other units of the Black Sea Fleet, including members of ship crews.

On 14 May, air defence units of Ukraine’s Land and Air Forces shot down 8 Russian aerial targets: 7 Orlan-10 UAVs and 1 plane.
