Occupiers continue eastern offensive, conducting assault actions - General Staff

The Russian forces continue to conduct offensive operations in the Eastern Operational Zone; the invaders remain most active on the Slobozhansk and Donetsk fronts.

Details: On the Donetsk front, the Russian troops are concentrating their main efforts on preparing for offensive operations in the areas around the settlements of Sievierodonetsk, Soledar and Bakhmut, replenishing supplies and regrouping units. Up to two battalion tactical groups have been relocated in this area. The Russian forces are carrying out assault actions along the line of contact with air and artillery support. They have been partially successful in the Avdiivka area.
On the Lyman and Sievierodonetsk fronts, the occupier is regrouping troops. Reinforcement of the grouping with forces of up to one battalion tactical group near the Novyi Aidar railway station has been noted.
In Mariupol, the occupiers continue to blockade Ukrainian units in the area of the Azovstal plant. They are also carrying out massive artillery and air strikes and assault operations.
On the Zaporizhzhia front, the occupiers concentrated their main efforts on shelling Ukrainian positions.
On the Volyn, Polissia and Siversk front, the situation remained unchanged; the occupiers did not conduct active operations.
In the territory of Gomel Oblast in Belarus, work is being done to clear the area of mines in the districts where Russian units were formerly deployed.
On the Kharkiv front, the occupiers concentrated their main efforts on holding their positions, controlling supply routes along the roads to the north and east of the city of Kharkiv, and also preventing the advance of Ukrainian troops in the direction of the state border.
On the Slaviansk front, the occupiers’ units are being regrouped and stocks of materiel are being created.
On the Pivdennyi Buh front, the situation has not changed significantly. The aggressor is focusing its main efforts on maintaining occupied lines, conducting reconnaissance, replenishing ammunition, fuel and lubricants, engineering their positions, and shelling the Ukrainian troops’ positions with artillery.
In the territory of the Transnistrian region of Moldova, the armed formations have been moved to a day-to-day mode of operation. At the same time, units of the operational group of Russian troops continue to be in a high degree of combat readiness.
Ships of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation in the waters of the Black and Azov Seas are carrying out missions to isolate the area of combat operations, conduct reconnaissance and provide fire support in the direction of the coast.
The enemy is trying to build up a military presence on Zmiinyi (Snake) Island and is reinforcing the air defence system.
Russian troops continue their targeted destruction of Ukraine's civilian infrastructure by launching rocket and bomb attacks and shelling settlements in the Donetsk, Odesa, Luhansk and Kharkiv Oblasts.
In the temporarily occupied territories in the east and south of Ukraine, the occupier is trying to recruit citizens of Ukraine to work in the occupying institutions and illegal law enforcement formations, violating their rights and freedoms.
