Quote from the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade: "During the attempt of enemy forces to establish a pontoon crossing and cross the river towards the east, the artillery of the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade conducted heavy strikes on the enemy, destroying pontoons and thwarting 9 attempted crossings [of the river] by the aggressors".

Details: Paratroopers destroyed at least 73 units of equipment. These included, in particular, T-72 tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, amphibious combat vehicles, armoured personnel carriers, trucks and other special equipment.

It is reported that despite heavy losses, the Russian occupiers still managed to break through and send part of their forces to the other side, gaining a foothold on the northern outskirts of one of the settlements. But the assault units of the 80th Brigade took action. Fierce fighting lasted for 2 days.

As a result of the fighting, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed an entire battalion tactical group of Russian invaders.
