Occupying forces move artillery to Bryansk Oblast in Russian Federation to facilitate shelling of Chernihiv region – summary

Russia is deploying additional artillery units to border areas of Bryansk Oblast to increase provocative attacks on border settlements in the Chernihiv region.

Details: On the Volynskyi and Poliskyi fronts the enemy was not active. The main efforts of the units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus were focused on covering the state border in the Brest and Gomel regions.
On the Siversk front measures of enhanced protection of the section of the Ukrainian-Russian border in the Bryansk and Kursk regions continue. According to available information, the enemy is transferring additional artillery units to the border areas of the Bryansk region to increase provocative attacks on settlements in the Chernihiv region located near the state border of Ukraine.
On the Slobozhanskyi front, the enemy is taking measures to regroup units, replenish ammunition, fuel and lubricants to restore offensive capabilities.
On the Kharkiv front, Russian forces did not conduct any offensive actions. Instead, they focused their main efforts on preventing the advance of our troops in the area of the village of Vesele.
In the Voronezh and Belgorod regions of the Russian Federation, the increased level of the terrorist threat has been extended until May 25, 2022.

On the Donetsk front, the enemy continues to focus its main efforts on establishing full control over the settlement of Rubizhne.
On the Lymanskyi front, enemy units tried to gain a foothold around the village of Oleksandrivka.
On the Bakhmut front, the invaders conducted assault operations in the direction of the village of Orikhove and the area of the village of Komyshuvakha but had no success.
On the Kurakhovskyi front, the enemy conducted offensive operations in the direction of the village of Mariinka.
Russian forces continued to launch artillery and air strikes on Mariupol and focused their main efforts on blocking units of our troops in the vicinity of the Azovstal plant.
To establish full control over the city and suppress the resistance of Ukrainian defenders, the enemy is using strategic aviation.
"Given the measures to evacuate residents, we should expect an increase in fire impact in the near future," the General Staff notes.
On the Novopavlivskyi and Zaporizhia fronts, the enemy conducted artillery attacks on Ukrainian troops along the entire line and aerial reconnaissance using UAVs.
On the Pivdennobuzkyi front the occupation units did not carry out active military operations. They fired artillery and mortars at units of our troops in the areas of the settlements of Oleksandrivka, Tavriyske, Kotlyareve, Hannivka, and Osokorivka.
In the last 24 hours,, air defence units of the ground forces, the Air Forces, and airborne assault forces hit seven air targets: five Orlan-10 UAVs, one Ka-52 helicopter, and one cruise missile.
The Air Forces aviation continued to launch fire strikes from the air onto the enemy and support the combat operations of units of Ukrainian troops in certain areas.
In the last 24 hours on the Donetsk and Luhansk fronts alone, the Defenders of Ukraine have repelled eighteen enemy attacks, destroyed thirteen tanks, eight artillery systems, twenty-seven units of armoured combat equipment, two units of special engineering equipment, and five enemy vehicles.
The enemy also has losses in other areas. We will announce these general figures in a separate summary.
