The advisor to the Mayor of Mariupol, Petro Andriushchenko, warns that the launch of the pumping station announced by the occupiers will lead to flooding and the overflow of the sewer system.

Details: He noted that the occupiers announced a test launch of the city pumping station in the village of Old Crimea to take place on 12 May. According to them, gravity will cause the water to flow through the city, and it will be enough for the private sector and the first floors of high-rise buildings.

Quote from Andriushchenko: "Technically, it is possible to start up a pumping station, electricity to which was extended from the Nikolsky district. However, the topography of Mariupol does not allow for such a supply of water without the use of other pumping stations in the middle of the city. Therefore, there will be no water supply as such.

At the same time, this will lead not only to flooding in the areas of the breakthrough, but also to the overflow of the non-functioning sewer system, the launch of which is not even planned. It is not difficult to calculate what this will lead to.

The occupiers have decided to literally drown Mariupol in faeces. The greatest risk in this is the rapid growth of infectious diseases and an increase in mortality. Although it is quite possible that this is part of the occupiers' plan."

More details: Andriushchenko advises Mariupol residents, if they have water, to use it exclusively as technical water.

"The amount of chlorine, in the absence of technology and given the two-month downtime of the system, can be fatal. Take care of yourself. Tell friends and relatives. This water, if there is any, will carry death for at least a week," he warned.
